October 23 – Spanish Why Israel?
On Friday, October 23rd, our CUFI Field Coordinator, Rev. Peter De Jesus, conducted a “Why Israel” Spanish hybrid event. This in-person and virtual event was hosted by one of our Latino Pastors Israel Tour Alumni, Pastor Damaris Rodriguez of Iglesia El Shaddai NOLA in Marrero, Louisiana. The hybrid event was attended in-person by approximately 50 of her congregants, and it was also viewed on the church’s Facebook page by over 310 people within 24 hours of the event. During this hybrid event, due to weather related WiFi technical difficulties, the attendees received Part 1 of our “Why Israel” Spanish presentation, and they were invited to join CUFI, download all of our free digital materials on our website, and also give offerings to the work of CUFI. Despite the technical difficulties, the event was so impactful that the host pastor requested to have Part 2 of the “Why Israel” presentation shared the following week during their next Friday service. Needless to say, this hybrid event was quite successful for Zion’s sake.
