October 15 – Metairie, LA
On Tuesday, October 15th, our CUFI National Hispanic Outreach Coordinator Rev. Peter De Jesus conducted our first-ever Spanish Why Israel event in the city of Metairie, Louisiana at Iglesia De Dios Getsemani church. This historic event was hosted by Pastor Manuel Herrera who went on our CUFI Latino Pastors Israel Tour earlier this year. As a result of being heavily impacted by our trip to Israel, he hosted this epic event which was attended by 200 of their congregants and even our very own CUFI Louisiana State Director Rev. Fritz Brown. Upon receiving our CUFI presentation, many of the attendees became new CUFI members and also gave offerings towards the efforts of CUFI On Campus. Additionally, Pastor Herrera expressed great interest in taking a group of his congregants to Israel next year. Thus, this historic event was quite successful in more ways than one!
