Feb 6 Tampa, FL Spanish Stand with Israel
On our 12th birthday of Christians United For Israel, our National Hispanic Outreach celebrated this great milestone with an epic event in Tampa, Florida on Tuesday night, February 6th. This first-time ever Hispanic Outreach event was held at Iglesia De Dios La Casa Del Alfarero and was hosted by Pastors Jesus and Yanira Fernandez of the Church of God Hispanic Southeast Region. This Spanish Standing with Israel event was so special in so many ways. For starters, the congregation readily received and greatly responded to the CUFI message shared by Rev. Peter De Jesus, our National Hispanic Outreach Coordinator. Secondly, many of the congregants became CUFI members, joined our Daughters For Zion Prayer Network, and also jointly gave a corporate offering to our CUFI On Campus work. Thirdly, we were blessed to have in attendance two of our CUFI members who are also pastors of another church in Tampa who expressed interest in hosting a CUFI event with their congregation later this year. And lastly, the night was crowned with Pastors Jesus and Yanira Fernandez accepting the volunteer leadership role to serve as the Hispanic Outreach City Directors for the city of Tampa. All of this definitely made our 12th CUFI birthday extra special!
