April 7&8 Brooklyn Park, NY African Night To Honor Israel
CUFI was privileged to host the 5th Annual Africa Night to Honor Israel. Many thanks to CUFI’s Diversity Outreach Coordinator Dumisani Washington and Dr. Francis Tabla– pastor of Ebenezer community church— for their outstanding planning efforts. The gala celebrated the rich relationship of the Jewish and Christian communities in the Minneapolis-St. Paul area. The Jewish Federation Leadership of each city was present to enjoy the festivities. Legislators of the state of Minnesota were also on hand for the evening, including former US Senator Rudy Boschwitz and US Congressman Erik Paulsen. Our keynote speaker was Olga Meshoe-Washington from South Africa.
The events of the weekend began with a CUFI Central Region Forum featuring several speakers during morning and early afternoon sessions, Including a segment featuring CUFI’s Daughters of Zion prayer team.
