October 29 – Night to Honor Israel – Brooklyn Park, MN
The tenth Africa Night To Honor Israel drew over six hundred people from multiple Christian and Jewish congregations to join in solidarity with Israel and emphasize the love and connection from the African communities. Dr Francis and Pastor Christine Tabla coordinated the gala event that with music, dancing, and messages from a long list of dignitaries and leaders that included Former Ambassador to Ethiopia Rudy Boschwitz, several elected officials and leaders from the Jewish community, and keynote speaker Pastor Mac Hammond, a founding Executive Board member of CUFI. The event raised twenty five thousand dollars for Israel’s Emergency Campaign, and a pledge of financial support for CUFI On Campus.
