October 10 – Columbia, SC
On Thursday, October 10th, our CUFI National Hispanic Outreach Coordinator Rev. Peter De Jesus conducted our first-ever Spanish Why Israel event in the city of Columbia, South Carolina at Centro Cristiano de Columbia church. This epic event was set up by our South Carolina Hispanic Outreach State Director and Assemblies of God Hispanic Superintendent Pastor Edson Dos Santos of the AG Southern Latin District Council. It was hosted by one of his District Pastors Rev. Henry Alfaro who attended a CUFI Pastors Meeting event we conducted earlier this year with Pastor Dos Santos and many of the Pastors of their district. Approximately 110 congregants gathered at this particular event, including three visiting pastors and leaders from other churches in the area. As a result of this event, many of the attendees became new CUFI members and also gave offerings towards the efforts of CUFI On Campus. Additionally, one of the visiting Pastors expressed interest in possibly hosting a CUFI event with his local congregation next year. Thus, this historic event was very impactful, and we look forward to conducting future events in this region!
