November 3 Providence, RI Spanish Stand with Israel

Perhaps our most unique CUFI Hispanic Outreach event took place in Providence, Rhode Island on Friday through Sunday, November 3rd through the 5th, during the centennial anniversary week of the 1917 Balfour Declaration. But what was so outstanding about this weekend’s event, you might ask? For starters, this Spanish CUFI event was actually held at a United Methodist Church named Vida Abundante led by Pastor, Dr. Santos Escobar. Additionally, this event actually consisted of 3 consecutive Standing With Israel events due to Dr. Escobar’s desire to make sure all of his congregants could receive our CUFI vision, mission, and biblical mandate. On top of that, Dr. Escobar announced to his congregation that this would be the first annual Pro-Israel weekend celebration they will repeat every year for years to come. Lastly, this event was attended by one of Dr. Escobar’s closest friends and colleagues who is also a Pastor in San Salvador, El Salvador, who also expressed great interest in having CUFI expand our Hispanic Outreach to El Salvador. Now add to all of this the fact that so many of the attendees became CUFI members, joined our Daughters For Zion Prayer Network, and gave offerings for our CUFI On Campus work, and what do you get? The answer is one of our most memorable CUFI Hispanic Outreach events in our history!
