According to the report, the attack was carried out through a local Shiite unit
Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Al-Quds Force is allegedlyresponsible for the explosion outside of the Israeli embassy in New Delhi in late January, according to an investigation by India’s counterterrorism agencies.
The investigation revealed that the attack was carried out by a local Shi’ite unit, The Hindustan Times reported.
On January 29, a “low density” bomb exploded in front of the Israeli embassy in New Delhi.
The blast did not cause injuries or damage to the embassy compound but did inflict damage to several vehicles.
The explosion suspiciously occurred on the 29th anniversary of the diplomatic ties between Jerusalem and New Delhi.
A letter found near the blast site claimed that “this is just the beginning,” and mentioned the names of the commander of the Al-Quds Force, Qassem Soleimani, eliminated by the US a year ago, and of the Iranian nuclear scientist Mohsen Fakhrizadeh.
