No weapons found on captured trespasser, IDF detains him for questioning
Israeli soldiers caught a man crossing the border from the southern Gaza Strip late Tuesday, according to the Israel Defense Forces (IDF).
A tweet by the IDF’s spokesperson unit said the suspect had no weapon and was questioned on site.
The incident comes amid a humanitarian crisis in Gaza coupled with the coronavirus pandemic. On Monday, Israel transferred the Palestinian Authority thousands of Moderna vaccines, although these are slated for first responders in the West Bank.
