February 26 – San Benito, TX – Pastor’s Lunch

On Wednesday, February 26th, our CUFI National Hispanic Outreach Coordinator Rev. Peter De Jesus conducted a Pastors Meeting Luncheon in San Benito, Texas at Cross Church. This event was co-hosted by Senior Pastor Jaime Loya and Executive Pastor Ruben Ramirez during their annual Pastors & Leaders Conference. It’s worth noting that Pastor Ramirez went on our 2020 CUFI Latino Pastors Israel Tour last month. As a result, he helped us coordinate this event which was attended by 24 Pastors and Ministers from the Texas Rio Grande Area and beyond, including our Harlingen, TX Hispanic Outreach City Director Pastor Eduardo Hinojosa and Pastor Roberto Sanchez of San Juan, TX, who both also went on the same Pastors Israel Tour in January. It was great to see all of the attending Pastors receive and respond favorably to the biblical, historical, and modern geo-political reasons as to why Christians should stand with Israel starting with the Pastors themselves and continuing with their congregations. Additionally, it was also great to receive an update on Pastor Loya’s plans to lead a tour to Israel later this Summer. And last but not least, it was a great blessing to hear that some of the pastors at this event now desire to host CUFI events at their local churches this year, in addition to having some of their full-time college and university students apply for our CUFI On Campus Washington DC Summit Scholarships, and possibly attend our DC Summit themselves. Thus, this Pastors Meeting was very impactful!
