April 16 – Garland, TX – Pastor’s Meeting
On Tuesday, April 16th, our CUFI National Hispanic Outreach Coordinator Rev. Peter De Jesus and his wife Rev. Mildred De Jesus, who is our Daughters For Zion National Hispanic Outreach Director, conducted a Spanish-speaking Pastors Meeting Dinner in Garland, Texas. This event was hosted by our Dallas Hispanic Outreach City Directors Pastors Mauricio and Mary Elizondo of Casa De Mi Gloria. It’s worth noting that both Pastor Mauricio and Pastor Mary are alumni of last year’s Hispanic Pastors’ Israel Tour and this year’s Women’s Israel Tour. Over 20 Pastors from all over the Dallas-Fort Worth area attended this event including our Fort Worth Hispanic Outreach City Director Rev. Jaime Hernandez and our Saginaw Hispanic Outreach City Directors Bishop Wilfredo and Shirley Santos. Additionally, minister friends of Bishop Santos, who were visiting them from the country of Colombia, also attended this event and were so impacted that they took their CUFI materials with them to Colombia to share with other ministers there. Therefore, this event not only impacted Pastors in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, but it also impacted ministers from another country who will now share CUFI with other Pastors in their country. Needless to say, many of the Pastors attending this event became CUFI members, joined our Daughters For Zion Prayer Network, gave offerings to our CUFI On Campus efforts, and also are now seriously considering attending this year’s Washington DC Summit. For this and so much more, we are thankful to our God and to our CUFI Leadership for another successful and impactful event!
