April 14 – Oak Ridge, NJ – Why Israel
On Sunday, April 14 Freedom Church and host pastor Steve Wolosin hosted a Why Israel service for their Palm Sunday celebration. Pastor Wolosin traveled to Israel with CUFI in 2017. Shawn Hyland, the CUFI NJ State Coordinator, shared with the attendees the reasons Christians should support the Jewish state of Israel. This includes The Promise – the support of Scripture, The Propaganda – the false narrative, and The Past – the dark history of anti-Semitism. A relevant topic presented was the distorted denial of Jewish historical claims to the land made by UNESCO and some Arab leaders. As Christians started their Holy Week, they were reminded of the biblical accounts of Jesus visiting and teaching at the Temple. However, the existence of the ancient temple in Jerusalem is under assault by those who seek to remove Israeli sovereignty over the city of Jerusalem.
