A Year After Normalization Accord, First Bahraini Ambassador Heads to Israel

Bahrain’s first ambassador to Israel, Khaled Al Jalahma, will be arriving in Tel Aviv on Tuesday to begin his diplomatic mission.

“I am honored to announce that I will be arriving in Tel Aviv today to begin my post,” Jalahman tweeted.

The Israeli Foreign Ministry’s director-general, Alon Ushpiz, said on Twitter: “We are looking forward to what will no doubt be a very productive tenure, advancing relations between our two countries.”

Jalahma was previously director of the operations directorate at Bahrain’s Foreign Ministry and had also served as deputy chief of mission at the kingdom’s embassy in the United States.
