July 21 – Why Israel – Columbus, OH
This event was part of the national conference of Ethiopian Evangelical Churches Fellowship of North America. I spoke at one of the breakout sessions of the conference. The attendants were a mix of Youth Pastors, Youth ministry leaders and young adults. By nature of these gatherings, this organization haven’t heard any pro-Israel message. One reason they told me was that no one told them about the rise of antisemites movements in America especially on college campuses.
I have also recruited one college student Redeat who is from California. She attended the event and later told me she was really interested in learning more about Israel and wants to work with CUFI on campus. I already connected her to west Coast Campus leader Lydia for the campus follow up. In addition, because of this event, I’m in the process of getting two more college students contacts from Ohio. Lastly, the host Youth Leader Emanuel wants to do more with CUFI.
