Dec 15th Lancaster, PA Spanish Pastors Meeting
On Saturday, December 15, 2018, our CUFI National Hispanic Outreach Coordinator, Rev. Peter De Jesus, conducted a Spanish Pastors Meeting in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. This event was held at the Assemblies of God Spanish Eastern District Youth Convention and was co-hosted by Christian Education District Director Pastor Elly Marroquin, District Youth Director Rev. Mariani Zapata, and District Superintendent Rev. Manuel Alvarez. Due to Pastor Elly Marroquin going to Israel with CUFI’s National Hispanic Outreach group earlier this year, she helped facilitate this event together with Rev. Zapata and Superintendent Alvarez so that 41 of their Pastors and Leaders in their District in attendance at their Youth Convention could receive the vision, mission, and pro-Israel biblical mandate of CUFI. Consequently, many of the Pastors and Leaders present became CUFI members and several of them expressed interest in hosting CUFI events at their churches in 2019. In fact, following our meeting, a “Why Israel” Spanish event was immediately scheduled for Monday night, April 29th during the annual Missions Service for the largest Assemblies of God Spanish Bible Institute in Bronx, New York. Thus, this event was very influential, and we believe it will result in an event greater impact in this great Assemblies of God District next year!
