Tens Of Thousands Rally For Israel On CUFI Solidarity Sunday
(05/17/2021) SAN ANTONIO – On Sunday, tens of thousands of Christians across the United States held solidarity events with Christians United for Israel (CUFI), the nation’s largest pro-Israel organization, supporting Israel in its current confrontation with the terrorist organization’s Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad.
Participants in “CUFI Solidarity Sunday” prayed for the safety and security of Israel, and thousands signed CUFI’s Israel Solidarity Pledge, which states in part, “I pledge to pray for the peace of Jerusalem and stand in solidarity with Israel and the Jewish people as Israel responds to violent attacks in defense of her people. I uphold that the loss of any life is tragic and pledge to pray for the safety of both Israelis and Palestinians until the attacks stop.”
“The American people are standing firmly with Israel as the Jewish state defends its people against an onslaught of terrorism. Israel is a democracy, a stalwart U.S. ally, and a beacon of freedom throughout the world; this is why Hamas and its terrorist ilk hate the Jewish state. But the children of Israel survived Haman and Hitler. They will survive Hamas as well,” said CUFI founder and Chairman Pastor John Hagee.
“We commend those elected officials from both parties who have expressed such strong support for Israel during this conflict. Though there are some loud, fringe voices who seem to never miss an opportunity to condemn the Jewish state and ignore every Palestinian act of terror, the vast majority of Americans support the Jewish and democratic nation of Israel,” Hagee added.
With more than 10 million members, Christians United for Israel is the largest pro-Israel organization in the United States and one of the leading Christian grassroots movements in the world. CUFI spans all fifty states and reaches millions with its educational message.
