A History of Hezbollah—And How You Can Stand with Israel

For decades, Hezbollah has been one of the deadliest terrorist organizations in the world. Backed by the tyrants of Tehran, the group is responsible for the deaths of hundreds of Americans and Israelis since its creation. Iran arms, trains, and funds Hamas, and prior to the 10/7 Massacre, Hezbollah was planning to invade Israel. Moreover, due to years of unchecked military growth, Hezbollah was the dominant political force in Lebanon until very recently.

Following the October 7th Massacre, Hezbollah began attacking northern Israel with rockets and missiles in such an aggressive manner that tens of thousands of Israelis had to flee their homes. As Israel was waging war against the terrorists of Hamas in the south, she was simultaneously fending off attacks and the ensuing massive forest fires (caused by Hezbollah incendiary devices) in the north. After the slaughter of a dozen children playing soccer, Israel could endure Hezbollah’s attacks no more.

Since launching Northern Arrows, a substantial offensive against Hezbollah, Israel has devastated the once fearsome group. While still capable of murder, Hezbollah is no longer a strategic threat to Israel’s existence. But its history of terrorism, including the Bierut Barracks Bombing and even attacks against Jewish communities outside of Israel, make clear that while this enemy is down, they can never be underestimated.
