CUFI Welcomes Huckabee Senate Confirmation
SAN ANTONIO – Following a late March Action Alert which resulted in thousands of emails sent to Senators in support of the nomination, on Wednesday, the leadership of Christians United for Israel (CUFI), the nation’s largest pro-Israel organization, issued the following statements welcoming the Senate’s confirmation of Governor Mike Huckabee to serve as the U.S. Ambassador to Israel.
“The President could not have chosen a better person to serve in this role at this pivotal time in history. Mike Huckabee understands the Middle East, America’s interests in the region, and the sanctity of the U.S.-Israel relationship. He is a true friend, a statesman and a Zionist, and we look forward to working with him in this new role,” said CUFI founder and Chairman Pastor John Hagee.
“As Ambassador Friedman showed during his tenure, when our emissary to Jerusalem is a true friend to the Jewish state, he has the potential to move mountains. Ambassador Huckabee is a lifelong friend to Israel, and we have every confidence that he will not only strengthen the alliance but will help Israel bring the war in Gaza to an appropriate end and stabilize the region” said CUFI Action Fund Chairwoman Sandra Parker.
With more than 10 million members, Christians United for Israel is the largest pro-Israel organization in the United States and one of the leading Christian grassroots movements in the world. CUFI spans all fifty states and reaches millions with its educational message.
The CUFI Action Fund, a nonprofit 501(c)(4), nonpartisan organization, is the policy arm of the nation’s largest pro-Israel organization, Christians United for Israel (CUFI). The Action Fund is dedicated to ensuring our elected officials hear the perspective of the millions of Christian Zionists across the country.
