CUFI Welcomes HFAC Passage of Taylor Force Act
November 15, 2017
To date, CUFI action alerts have generated more than 1 million emails to Congress in support of bill.
SAN ANTONIO – On Wednesday, Christians United for Israel (CUFI), the nation’s largest pro-Israel organization, released the following statement after the House Foreign Affairs Committee advanced the Taylor Force Act:
CUFI welcomes the House Foreign Affairs Committee’s passage of the Taylor Force Act. CUFI was the first major pro-Israel organization to publicly support the Taylor Force Act, and we have placed passage of this legislation at the forefront our legislative agenda for nearly a year. In addition to lobbying in support of the bill during our 2017 Washington Summit, CUFI action alerts have generated more than one million emails in support of the bill to Members of Congress.
CUFI has concerns about recent Taylor Force Act amendments which provide support for humanitarian projects in the Palestinian Authority and may have the unintended consequence of freeing funds for the support of terror. But we recognize the need for broad support for this bill and look forward to the Taylor Force Act becoming law.
With more than 3.8 million members, Christians United for Israel is the largest pro-Israel organization in the United States and one of the leading Christian grassroots movements in the world. CUFI spans all fifty states and reaches millions with its message. Each year CUFI holds hundreds of pro-Israel events in cities around the country. And each July, thousands of pro-Israel Christians gather in Washington, D.C. to participate in the CUFI Washington Summit and make their voices heard in support of Israel and the Jewish people.
