Welcome to CUFI’s Israel Trip overview page for prospective participants of future and pending tours of Israel.

This page is for pastors of active church congregations to request to participate on a tour of Israel.

Eligible pastors unable to participate due to date conflicts will remain on the invite list for future trips.

Due to travel restrictions related to COVID 19 proof of vaccination is required to enter Israel.
Additionally trip participants will need to undergo a COVID test 72 hours before entering Israel and 72 hours before re-entering the USA.

CUFI strives to provide pastors a Biblically meaningful, educational, impactful, and quality experience in the Holy Land, and will only confirm travel dates with assurance of accessibility to important key sites.

IMPORTANT TO NOTE:

Partially completed surveys will not be saved and registrants will have to begin a new profile page if the survey is not completed entirely, or if the survey is not properly submitted, or if the survey page times out before being submitted.

Submitted profiles are to request to participate on a future trip, dates are yet to be determined by CUFI. Submission of profile survey does not constitute or guarantee acceptance or confirmation to participate.

Day 2 ~ Tuesday, January 17, 2023
Tel Aviv/Tiberias
Arrive Ben Gurion Airport. Meet, assist and begin traveling north along the Israeli coastline stopping at Caesarea, the Roman capital of Judea. Tour the beautifully restored ruins of the ancient town, harbor, hippodrome and aqueduct and the ancient Roman theatre. Continue to Tiberias for dinner and overnight.

Day 3 ~ Wednesday, January 18, 2023
Tiberias
Following breakfast, morning CUFI orientation. Cross the Sea of Galilee by boat, with time for reflection and prayer. Visit Capernaum, seeing the ruins of the ancient synagogue. Then, onto the Mount of Beatitudes, the site of the Sermon on the Mount. Before enjoying a St. Peter’s fish lunch, visit Magdala, located in Migdal, with a First Century synagogue on the Galilee. Continue to the Golan Heights, for a Northern Israel strategic tour with Lt. Col. Eyal Dror, before hearing about the “Good Neighbor Project.”

Day 4 ~ Thursday, January 19, 2023

Morning meeting with Greek Orthodox Priest, Father Gabriel Naddaf, spiritual head of Israeli Christian Recruitment Forum. Next, visit Yardenit, the Baptismal site on the Jordan River. Then, begin the journey up to Jerusalem, driving through the Mountains of Judea arriving in the holy city just in time for a special panoramic welcome ceremony atop the Tower of David, followed by a walk atop the Old City ramparts.

Day 5 ~ Friday, January 20, 2023
Jerusalem
This morning, tour the excavated base of the Western Wall (tunnels) on the Herodian street from the time of Jesus. Then, enter the Jewish Quarter at the “Cardo”, meaning the “heart” of this ancient Byzantine city and into the Christian Quarter. Next, visit the Church of St. Peter in Gallicantu, Caiphas’ House and the site of the Upper Room of the Last Supper. Welcome the Sabbath at the Kotel, Western Wall. Enjoy home hospitality and Shabbat dinner together with a host family.

Day 6 ~ Saturday, January 21, 2023

Morning meeting with Khaled Abu Toameh, Palestinian Affairs Journalist. Enjoy an overview from atop Mount of Olives, before walking down Palm Sunday Road to the Garden of Gethsemane. Continue with time of worship at St. Anne’s Church. Next, visit to the Israel Museum to view the Model of Ancient Jerusalem, a miniature of the city during the Second Temple period. Following dinner, enjoy an evening excursion to Ben Yehuda Street.

Day 7 ~ Sunday, January 22, 2023

This morning, visit the archaeology site unearthing Ir David, City of David, taking the tunnel to foot of the Temple Mount. Next, be one of the many volunteers who have participated in this incredible operation of the Temple Mount Sifting Project at Emek Tzurim Park where, so far, there have been over 3,500 finds from ancient times.
Hear from Rabbi Ken Spiro at Aish HaTorah, followed by a beautiful view on the rooftop, overlooking the Kotel. This afternoon, tour of the Security Fence and IDF Check Points with Danny Tirza – Col. (Res.). Danny Tirza is in charge of planning the security fence between the West Bank and Israel, Israel’s largest infrastructure project.

Day 8 ~ Monday, January 23, 2023
Jerusalem
Stop for a photo opportunity at the US Embassy in Jerusalem. Departure to the city of Sderot including overviews of Gaza for a strategic tour of the area. En route to Sderot, view the Elah Valley, the place described in the Bible where the Israelites were encamped when David fought Goliath. Next, visit the Moshav of Nativ HaAsara, located in the north-west Negev. A moshav is a type of agricultural community in Israeli consisting of a group of individual farms. Next, visit The Peres Center in Jaffa. The Peres Center for Peace and Innovation, founded in 1996 by the late President of Israel, Shimon Peres, develops and implements impactful and meaningful programs with a focus on promoting a prosperous Israel.

Day 9 ~ Tuesday, January 24, 2023
Jerusalem/Enroute
This morning, visit to the Garden Tomb for a special communion service. Onto the unforgettable Memorial to the Holocaust at Yad Vashem. A visit to the Friends of Zion Museum is the last stop, dedicated to the outstanding contributions of Christians to the State of Israel. Enjoy a farewell dinner together before transferring to the airport with assistance in departure for the flight to the United States.
