CUFI Next Gen Digital Manager

Summary: 

The CUFI Next Gen Digital Manager ensures the next generation of Christians stands with Israel and the Jewish people by creating content for and managing the CUFI Next Gen social media accounts and websites. CUFI Next Gen social media includes, but is not limited to, CUFI High School Instagram, CUFI on Campus Instagram, Israel Collective Instagram, and Christians United for Israel on TikTok. Additionally, this role will create next-gen-focused content for the Christians United for Israel YouTube channel.

The goal of the CUFI Next Gen Digital Manager is to plan content for social media to educate, inspire, and mobilize Christian support for Israel for young audiences, while countering viral anti-Israel, antisemitic messages online. The CUFI Next Gen Digital Manager possesses graphic design and video editing skills, an understanding of social media trends, and is knowledgeable about Christianity, modern Israel, and antisemitism. It is ideal, though not required, for the Next Gen Digital Manager to be comfortable on camera.

This role requires both foresight to proactively create content and initiative to respond quickly to the dynamic and “in the moment” nature of social media, particularly on platforms that are trend and topic-driven, like Instagram and TikTok. The Next Gen Digital Manager will also capture and repurpose footage to create video content for CUFI Next Gen social media platforms and CUFI Next Gen websites.  

This position involves required travel to CUFI conferences and events, as well as occasional Christian conferences for young adults, next-gen Christian gatherings, and relevant Israel trips for content creation for CUFI Next Gen content creation. This role reports to the Senior Director of Next Gen and works in coordination with the CUFI Next Gen Directors to coordinate, educate, and mobilize their respective audiences and highlight CUFI Next Gen’s work.   

Responsibilities: 

  • Create social media strategy and quarterly content calendars with the Senior Director of Next Gen to inspire, educate, and mobilize young Christian support for Israel and counter antisemitism and anti-Israel sentiment online.  
  • Grow CUFI Next Gen social media accounts on platforms that high school and college-aged Christians gravitate to.  
  • Design graphics for a youthful audience on social media in line with CUFI messaging and highlighting CUFI Next Gen’s work.  
  • Produce short video content for Instagram Reels, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts by writing scripts, recording or editing film, using B-roll, adding subtitles, etc., in line with CUFI messaging and highlighting CUFI Next Gen’s work.  
  • React quickly to trends on social media and viral antisemitic and anti-Israel content by utilizing trending sounds, social media “challenges”, stitching reactions, and other formats. 
  • May be asked to edit long-form content for YouTube.  
  • Travel to CUFI conferences and CUFI staff events.  
  • Occasional travel to relevant next-gen focused conferences, events, and CUFI Poland-Israel trips.
