Weekly Reflection – Here I Am

In the year of King Uzziah’s death I saw the Lord sitting on a throne, lofty and exalted, with the train of His robe filling the temple. Seraphim were standing above Him, each having six wings: with two each covered his face, and with two each covered his feet, and with two each flew. And one called out to another and said, “Holy, Holy, Holy, is the Lord of armies. The whole earth is full of His glory.”

ISAIAH 6:1-4

Isaiah’s understanding of God’s holy character and actions affirm that He will not allow Judah’s offenses to stand. In fact, God’s holiness will never tolerate the sin of any people, past, present, or future. The One true King revealed His supreme glory as a reminder that He is always on His throne, no matter who is in power on earth—a fact that holds true to this day (Psalms 46:10).

Just as God and His reign are eternal, so too is His love for Israel and the Jewish people! As the war between Israel and Hamas rages on, our Almighty God is standing, sovereign, with His people.
