Even after prolonged and unfair suffering, Joseph perceived that the hand of God was on his life. Joseph had held fast to the dream the Lord had given him as a young man, and even though his vision was slow in coming, he remained faithful to trust in God’s sovereign plan for his life. Joseph’s willingness to unconditionally forgive removed the pain of rejection from his heart and allowed him to live without anger, bitterness, or revenge—this is the transforming power of divine forgiveness.
