14th Annual CUFI Washington Summit Concludes Following Remarks from Top U.S., Israeli Leaders
July 11, 2019 WASHINGTON – Christians United For Israel (CUFI), the nation’s largest pro-Israel organization, concluded its 14th annual Washington Summit this week by sending thousands of pro-Israel advocates to Capitol Hill and its leadership to the White House for meetings with senior administration officials including White House Senior Advisor Jared Kushner.
The overarching question within the pro-Israel community and this year’s theme, “Why Israel?”, was approached and answered promptly by notable government officials, political figures, and community activists throughout the course of the Summit.
CUFI was honored to hear from Vice President Mike Pence, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, National Security Adviser Ambassador John Bolton, Ambassador David Friedman, Senator Roy Blunt, Senator Marco Rubio, Senator Ted Cruz, Senator Tim Scott, Representative Michael McCaul, Representative Dan Crenshaw, American thought leaders and other U.S. officials regarding Iran, anti-Semitism and the U.S.-Israel relationship.
During the Summit, Pastor John Hagee, CUFI founder and chairman, highlighted the significant growth of CUFI during the Summit as well as the importance of action by Christian Zionists. “Fourteen years ago, I invited 400 of America’s leading evangelicals to come to Cornerstone Church in San Antonio to give birth to CUFI. Today, by the grace of God, we are seven million-plus standing united in defense of Israel and the Jewish people,” Hagee remarked.
With more than 7 million members, Christians United for Israel is the largest pro-Israel organization in the United States and one of the leading Christian grassroots movements in the world. CUFI spans all fifty states and reaches millions with its educational message. And each July, thousands of pro-Israel Christians gather in Washington, D.C. to participate in the CUFI Washington Summit and make their voices heard in support of Israel and the Jewish people.
