CUFI Welcomes Kentucky Anti-BDS Executive Order
November 15, 2018 WASHINGTON – On Thursday, Christians United for Israel (CUFI), the nation’s largest pro-Israel organization, released a statement applauding Gov. Matt Bevin of Kentucky for signing an executive order that would prohibit state contractors from boycotting Israel and any other nation with which Kentucky may legally do business.
“BDS is economic terrorism. It is a movement intended to do with boycotts, divestments and sanctions what terrorists seek to do with bombs, missiles and bullets: destroy Israel. But just like all anti-Semites who’ve come before them, the BDS movement will fail,” said CUFI founder and Chairman Pastor John Hagee.
“Kentucky’s action today means that more than half the country has enacted legislation or policies targeting the anti-Semitic effort to boycott, divest from or sanction Israel. We look forward to advancing similar policies across the country and will not stop until the door is shut to BDS in every state in the union,” said CUFI Action Fund Chairwoman Sandra Parker.
With more than 4.5 million members, Christians United for Israel is the largest pro-Israel organization in the United States and one of the leading Christian grassroots movements in the world. CUFI spans all fifty states and reaches millions with its message. Each year CUFI holds hundreds of pro-Israel events in cities around the country. And each July, thousands of pro-Israel Christians gather in Washington, D.C. to participate in the CUFI Washington Summit and make their voices heard in support of Israel and the Jewish people.
