CUFI Welcomes President Trump Signing Anti-Terrorism Clarification Act Into Law

October 4, 2018 SAN ANTONIO – As part of the Trump administration’s ongoing efforts to fight terrorism around the globe, and hold bad actors accountable for their terrible actions, on Wednesday, President Trump signed the Anti-Terrorism Clarification Act into law. In response, Pastor John Hagee, founder and Chairman of Christians United for Israel (CUFI), the nation’s largest pro-Israel organization, issued the following statement:

“Last year, we were shocked to learn that our courts would not allow American victims of international terrorism to obtain justice through American courts when attacks occur overseas. Thankfully, Republicans and Democrats were able to quickly come together to address this problem by passing the Anti-Terrorism Clarification Act, ensuring terror organizations can be held to account for their vile actions.

“Americans have been killed by Palestinian terror organizations and the families of every one of those victims should have the right to seek justice in an American court of law. CUFI is grateful to Senator Grassley and Congressman Goodlatte for their leadership on this issue – and to President Trump for his decisiveness in signing this bill into law.”

With more than 4.3 million members, Christians United for Israel is the largest pro-Israel organization in the United States and one of the leading Christian grassroots movements in the world. CUFI spans all fifty states and reaches millions with its message. Each year CUFI holds hundreds of pro-Israel events in cities around the country. And each July, thousands of pro-Israel Christians gather in Washington, D.C. to participate in the CUFI Washington Summit and make their voices heard in support of Israel and the Jewish people.
