CUFI Welcomes Decision to Close PLO Office in Washington
SAN ANTONIO, TX – On Monday, Pastor John Hagee, the founder and Chairman of Christians United for Israel (CUFI), the nation’s largest pro-Israel organization, released a statement praising the Trump administration’s decision to close the Palestine Liberation Organization’s office in Washington.
“Despite the US and Israel bending over backwards, through aid and concessions, to try to bring Palestinian leaders to the negotiating table in good faith, the PA persists in inciting violence against the Jewish state and thumbing its nose at the US. The PLO remains, first and foremost, an advocate for terror against Israel. In the face of such persistent Palestinian obstinacy, this move is long overdue,” Hagee said.
“We are grateful to Pres. Trump for taking this bold and righteous stance. And we would also like to thank Congressional leaders including Sen. Ted Cruz and Rep’s Mark Meadows and Ileana Ros-Lehtinen, for their consistent strength on this issue,” Hagee added.
With more than 4.3 million members, Christians United for Israel is the largest pro-Israel organization in the United States and one of the leading Christian grassroots movements in the world. CUFI spans all fifty states and reaches millions with its message. Each year CUFI holds hundreds of pro-Israel events in cities around the country. And each July, thousands of pro-Israel Christians gather in Washington, D.C. to participate in the CUFI Washington Summit and make their voices heard in support of Israel and the Jewish people.
