Weekly Reflection – PREPARED, POSITIONED, PURPOSED, AND EMPOWERED
“For if you remain silent at this time, relief and deliverance will arise for the Jews from another place and you and your father’s house will perish. And who knows whether you have not attained royalty for such a time as this?”
— Esther 4:14
Esther embraced her position of influence as queen and saved her fellow Jews from certain death. Esther persuaded the King to punish Haman and his sons and give the Jews the right to defend themselves from the impending attack of their enemies throughout the Persian Empire.
As Christians, we know that we serve a God unlike any other– “a God who works on behalf of those who wait for Him” (Isaiah 64:4). Even when it seems like the Lord is silent or cannot be seen working on our behalf, we can be confident that He has placed us in precisely the right position “for such a time as this.” We, like Queen Esther, have been prepared, positioned, purposed, and empowered by God to accomplish His will, bringing glory to His Name and good to our lives in ways impossible to imagine.
