Weekly Reflection – From the Pit to the Palace

As for you, you meant evil against me, but God meant it for good in order to bring about this present result, to keep many people alive.

— GENESIS 50:20

After being thrown into a pit and left for dead, after being sold into slavery in a strange country, after being falsely accused and turned into prison—Joseph chose to forgive for the Lord was with him every step of the way (Genesis 39:2, 21, 23). Joseph trusted that his pain and suffering were part of God’s divine plan. He not only forgave his brothers but also received his entire family with love.

Today, as the Jewish state faces enemies on every side, the Lord remains with them every step of the way—and with you through the difficulties in your life. He has a plan for you—draw near to Him in faith today.
