June 9th Carolina, Puerto Rico Spanish Pastors Luncheon
On Friday, June 7th, our CUFI National Hispanic Outreach Coordinator Rev. Peter De Jesus and his wife Rev. Mildred De Jesus, who is the Hispanic Outreach Director for our CUFI Daughters For Zion Prayer Network, conducted our-second ever CUFI event in Carolina, Puerto Rico. This particular event was a Spanish Pastors Meeting Luncheon which was hosted by Pastor Ivan De La Torre, Superintendent of the Assemblies of God Puerto Rico District which has approximately 150 churches in their district. Over 110 Pastors and Ministers attended our CUFI Pastors Meeting and readily received our vision, mission, and biblical mandate to stand in solidarity with Israel and the Jewish people. The impact of this event, which occurred during their annual District Council Convention, was so great that one of the members of their executive leadership team requested we return next year in order to share our CUFI message with the entire group that gathers for their annual convention which is approximately 1,000 people including Pastors, Ministers, congregants, and lay leaders. We hope to be with them next year!
